Ammann Equipment

The full range of heavy rollers down to vibratory plates – they have the broadest range of compaction equipment, incorporating Rammax trench technology, in the market, and offer the high quality you would expect from a Swiss company still owned and run by the founders family.

The company was founded by Jakob Ammann in 1869. In 1911 the first Ammann motorised road roller was developed and the start of the complete line of compaction products available today.

Through constant innovation and acquisition of complementary compaction manufacturers the Ammann range now spans from 50 kg Rammers to Articulated Tandem Rollers. Having produced its first dual tandem vibratory roller in 1964 in Langenthal, Switzerland the takeover of Duomat complemented the range. The factory in Hennef, Germany now produces Rammers, both forward and reverse Vibratory Plates and Walk-behind Rollers.
