Infrastructure Applications
Infrastructure spans multiple sectors, supporting transportation, utilities, urban development, environmental sustainability, and industry. Transportation includes road, rail, airport, port, and tunnel construction, using heavy machinery for earthmoving, paving, and structural work. Utilities cover water, sewage, power, and telecommunications, relying on trenching, pipe-laying, and electrical systems. Urban development uses cranes, concrete pumps, and smart city technologies for efficient construction and management. Environmental projects focus on flood control, renewable energy, and waste management with dredging machines, wind turbine transporters, and recycling systems. Industrial sectors like mining, oil, and gas depend on crushers, conveyors, and pipeline equipment for large-scale operations.
Transportation
Transportation infrastructure includes roads, railways, airports, ports, and tunnels, requiring machinery for construction and maintenance. The construction of road networks depends on equipment such as an excavator, compactor, and paver. Rail networks can use an excavator and articulated dump trucks (ADTs) in their construction, crushers, and screeners to produce materials such as railway ballast. Airports require earthmoving equipment for runways and terminal buildings. Ports use dredging machines to maintain dock areas and bulk material handling equipment such as port loaders and conveyors for loading and unloading cargo from vessels.
Utilities
Utilities infrastructure supports water, sewage, power, and telecommunications. All utilities projects use a range of construction equipment that varies based on the size of project being completed. With more minor maintenance works, or installation of utilities pipes or cabling to residential properties typically utilising smaller equipment such as a mini excavator, site dumpers and twin drum compaction rollers. Larger planned works, for example, the installation of substations in the electricity network typically using a larger crawler excavator as well as a mix of other earthmoving products such as articulated dump trucks and single drum compaction rollers.
Urban Development
Long-standing urban infrastructure such as subway systems and above-ground metro, which enhance public transportation and urban connectivity systems, all utilise a range of construction machinery to create and maintain these networks. Such as earthmoving equipment such as an excavator and articulated dump trucks (ADTs). And with many different materials being required in their construction, such as both clean and fill aggregate material, which crushers and screeners are required to produce.
