The Eggersmann BACKHUS A 60 / 65 are industrial composting machines designed for large-scale windrow composting. As part of the Eggersmann portfolio, the A 60 / A 65 triangular windrow turner models deliver heavy-duty performance for large windrows. Engineered for strength and durability, both models feature powerful rotor assemblies capable of handling dense compost piles. High-torque drives and advanced structural design allow the machine to maintain effective aeration while reducing pass frequency. These self-propelled BACKHUS turners offer long duty cycles suited to operators with demanding material volumes and extended site layouts, while optimising fuel consumption for efficiency.
The A 60 / A 65 include BACKHUS HD hose systems for hydraulic reliability, a robust cooling and engine system for temperature stability, and free access to all components for easy servicing. With a throughput of up to 5,500 m³/h, a windrow width of 6.5m, and a windrow height of 2.9m, these models deliver exceptional performance for large-scale composting operations. Optional side conveyor configurations improve material discharge efficiency, and a landfill version is available for specialised applications.
