Kobelco has always been a pioneer. In 1930, as a division of Kobe Steel, Ltd., we produced the first piece of construction machinery to be manufactured in Japan: the 50K electric mining shovel. Since then, we have shaped our future with an indomitable spirit, developing many innovative construction machinery products.
To ensure a rapid response to changing needs, Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. became an independent subsidiary of Kobe Steel in 1999.
Operating independently, we will continue to serve our clients as a full-service company specialising in construction machinery.
