Key Account Manager -fleetCMD

This role will suit an experienced salesperson who is looking for the opportunity to be an integral part in the ongoing growth and success of Molson Group’s smartCMD business unit, with the key focus being on leading the fleetCMD sales function.

fleetCMD is a mixed fleet telematic solution for the plant and machinery sector.  It comprises a bespoke digital platform, telematic hardware solution and industry leading service.

Main responsibilities: 

You will benefit from the excitement and pace of a start-up environment whilst enjoying the backing of a mature parent company.

  • You’ll serve as the primary senior point of contact for all material new business opportunities, developing relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify and action new business opportunities, utilising the existing network within Molson Group and external stakeholders.
  • Over time you will become an expert on the fleetCMD product suite, addressable market and the growing telematic aggregation sector.  The role requires effective communication of the features and benefits to potential customers, answering any questions and providing accurate information on implementation of the solution.
  • Professional quoting, follow up both written and oral is critical to ensure the customer experience throughout is as smooth as possible.
  • As a senior member of the smartCMD team, you will be responsible for contributing to the effective working of the team.  You will work closely with, in a senior capacity, the Technology Sales Specialists and Product Support Specialists to deliver the solution to new customers.
  • Visibility and input into the sales pipeline process is critical, with a focus on continuing to effectively develop this within the existing CRM.
  • Visit prospective customers to build relationships that will ultimately lead to successful sales.
  • Drive value and opportunity, initiating contact between the business and prospective customers. 
  • Attend trade events and shows across the UK, as required.
  • Reporting regularly to the Commercial Director and Board Level (COO) internal stakeholders on the progress of key accounts and the sales pipeline.

Work experience requirements:

  • Strong communication skills are essential, being able to clearly and confidently communicate across a variety of platforms, whether face-to-face or remotely.
  • You should be a team player.
  • You should be a self-starter.
  • You should be motivated, with the ability to act on your own initiative.
  • Experience working with, or an understanding of the construction industry is essential.
  • Experience working with telematics within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Education requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of the English language, both verbal and written
  • Excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite
