As a Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in credit control and develop your career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with the wider finance team to maintain healthy cash flow and resolve account queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer accounts, monitor outstanding debts, and chase overdue payments
- Issue invoices and credit notes accurately and on time
- Process and allocate incoming payments
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies or payment queries
- Maintain accurate records and support month-end reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to resolve payment issues
- Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and support the wider team
What we are looking for:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive, eager-to-learn attitude
- Basic understanding of finance or accounting principles (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and XLOOKUP’s) and other Office applications
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or finance (credit control experience is a plus)
- Experience in the construction industry (desirable)
