Credit Controller

As a Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in credit control and develop your career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with the wider finance team to maintain healthy cash flow and resolve account queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer accounts, monitor outstanding debts, and chase overdue payments
  • Issue invoices and credit notes accurately and on time
  • Process and allocate incoming payments
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies or payment queries
  • Maintain accurate records and support month-end reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to resolve payment issues
  • Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and support the wider team

What we are looking for:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, eager-to-learn attitude
  • Basic understanding of finance or accounting principles (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and XLOOKUP’s) and other Office applications
  • Previous experience in customer service, administration, or finance (credit control experience is a plus)
  • Experience in the construction industry (desirable)
