Service Operations Manager – Scotland

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing our aftersales operations across the Scotland territory, including driving the development of aftersales business in the area, by liaising directly with customers.
  • Be a point of escalation for customer queries and concerns.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to optimise service support for sales initiatives
  • Overseeing the service managers and teams across the Molson Scotland Division. Motivating and developing the teams to reach their goals and objectives.
  • Work alongside our Group Service Operations Manager to support a comprehensive aftersales offering to our customers and assist the combined service departments
  • Day-to-day site management of our Bothwell and Inverness depots.
  • Facilities management of buildings booking repairs and scoping jobs for the contractors , electrical, building, plumbing works etc.
  • Manage production and repairs of machinery at our Bothwell site.
  • Management and escalation of staffing issues, managing staffing, recruitment, and onboarding of on-site staff.
  • Support the workshop & depot employees’ training and development.
  • Be accountable and oversee the H&S of our Scotland sites with support from our H&S department.
  • Evolve and develop processes and procedures within the workshop and depot as required.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Drive down and manage cost of the Scotland aftersales operation.
  • Be a point of escalation for managing customer issues and complaints.
  • Managing the daily Work in Progress ‘WIP’.
  • Be the point of contact for local authorities (Fire, police, environmental health, local council).
  • Full oversight and accountability of the Bothwell depot.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend industry shows and events as a Molson representative.
  • Ad-hoc project management.
  • Regular travel to customers as and when needed.
  • Regular travel across the UK.
  • Create and manage relationships with key local suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Additional hours or out-of-hours support may be required as necessary to fulfil the needs of the depot
  • Any other tasks required by the business.

Work Experience requirements:

  • A strong technical background in the Plant industry is essential.
  • NVQ level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent preferred.
  • Self-motivated and with a proactive approach.
  • Previous management experience is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness.

Any other details:

A strong background in site, commercial, operations or people management will be an advantage in being successful in this role.
