Located in a purpose-built HQ at Kesgrave, Ipswich the Tru7\nGroup has been in operation for 90 years. Originally started by Percy Nicholls,\ntoday his son \u2013 MD, Guy Nicholls has maintained the entrepreneurial spirit and is\ncontinuing the passion for excellence through his son Jake who is Operations\nManager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employing over a 100-strong team the company are \u2018hot on\nservice\u2019 and \u2018hot\u2019 on supplying their customers with the best equipment\navailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As experts in construction and demolition their expanding\nportfolio includes the supply of aggregates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently Guy has invested in a Terex Finlay 863 Screener to\ncompliment his portfolio of aggregate processing equipment. Supplied by the\nMolson Finlay it was a decision made on machine build, processing outputs and\ndealing with a company who could back a world-class machine with service that\nis second to none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guy doesn\u2019t mince his words and is quick to talk about\nexperiences with past brands and their failings in extended parts supply\ncausing unnecessary downtime on machines that should be working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guy, takes up the story, \u201cWe got into the tipper business\naround four years ago and today we are operating a fleet of 40 tippers\ntransporting 20-25 thousand tonnes of \u2018muck away\u2019 a week.<\/em> We are a very\ndiverse company with a growing line-up of machines and entering into other\nsectors which has led to the investment in the Terex Finlay screener.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI knew Brian Bell very well and I trusted his\nopinion and he suggested that we invest in a Finlay machine which we have taken\non trial. We already have an Terex Ecotec TRS 550 machine with a Spaleck screen\nwhich is on a Finlay chassis, so our experiences were already positive.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe currently have a big crushing contract, so we\nneeded another machine to help with this and our intention is to expand into\ncontract crushing and screening and hire for these machines as we see this as a\ngrowth area for the business.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terex Finlay 863 Screener:
\n<\/strong>The Terex\u00ae Finlay 863 mobile\nscreening plant is a compact and aggressive forward-facing screen. This\nflexible and mobile plant can work in aggregates, sand and gravel, top-soil,\nconstruction demolition and recycling applications where site space is at a premium.\nThe fully self-contained plant can be hydraulically folded and ready for\ntransport in less than an hour making it the ideal machine for contract\nscreening. The plant has the capacity to process at a rate of up to 250 tonnes\nper hour and can be fed by a range of equipment, including a tracked mobile\ncrusher, an excavator or a loading shovel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It features an aggressive screen box which can accept bofor bars,\nscreenharps, woven mesh, punch plate and cascade fingers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screen box angle can be\nhydraulically adjusted to an angle between 14\u00ba to 18\u00ba and the screen box\ndischarge end can be hydraulically raised 500mm to facilitate efficient and\neasy media access and changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An oversize conveyor angle can\nbe hydraulically adjusted from 15\u00ba to 24\u00ba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weighing in at 18.3 tonnes the\n863 is powered by a Caterpillar C3.4 73.8hp \u2013 Tier 4i, Stage 111B engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brian Bell \u2013 Sales Manger for\nMolson Group, commented, \u201cThe main asset of this machine is the screenbox\nwhich is phenomenally lively; it does \u2018punch above its weight\u2019, so when you are\nprocessing sticky materials the extra vibration will enhance the process.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s also\na perfect hire machine as when its folded up its incredibly compact and easy to\nload on a trailer. Dependant on material a general throughput would be in the\nregion of 150tph. It\u2019s an excellent machine for the group and will be a\npositive and versatile addition to their hire fleet.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
