From their expansive premises in\nWindsor, Berkshire, this multi-faceted company only invest in the best\nequipment available.  From their highly\nimpressive fleet of trucks to their excavators, crushers and screens they only\nbuy the machines that will enable them to deliver the high quality of products\nand exemplary service their customers have come to expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since they were established in\n2003, C. Doyle & Sons. Ltd have been providing a service to the Thames\nValley and South East of England.  With an\ninstantly recognisable range of Scania, Volvo and Mercedes trucks, they offer a\nrange of services including tipper, grab lorry and low loader hire as well as\naggregate sales, excavation and groundworks contracting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest addition to their\nplant fleet is a Terex Finlay J960 mobile jaw crusher which follows on from a\nKobelco SK140SRLC-5 also recently purchased from Molson Group.  The J960 is the latest addition to the\nextensive Terex Finlay jaw crusher range, but it proves that size is not\neverything when it comes to production capacity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This aggressive yet compact\ncrusher incorporates the proven Terex direct drive single toggle jaw crusher\nwhich gives high capacity.  With jaws\nmeasuring 900 x 600mm, the chamber operates a direct drive system via wedge\nbelts. This system allows operators to take advantage of a ferocious tonnage\nrate whilst also benefiting from remarkably low fuel consumption figures that\nset it in a league of its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This powerful jaw chamber has\nfull hydraulic wedge adjust system for quick and easy on-site adjustment of the\njaw closed size setting (CSS), allowing operators to minimise downtime when\nchanging the size of the product being produced.  All powered by the tried and tested Tier 4f\ncompliant Caterpillar C4.4 (173hp) engine that maintains a steady speed of 1800\n\u2013 2000rpm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C. Doyle and Sons. Ltd opted to\ninclude a remote-control unit, allowing the operator feeding the crusher in\ntheir new Kobelco SK140 to control the crusher at the same time.  This clearly delivers a manpower saving, but\nalso enhances the safe operation as there is no need for a separate crusher\noperator to be near the machine.  This\nallows the operator to keep focused on keeping the impressive 3.6m3 capacity\nfeed hopper full of feed stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another option that was ticked on\nthis order was the by-pass conveyor.  When\nfolded out, this enables fines to be removed from the feed stock and stockpiled\nto the side of the crusher. This not only reduces material that is smaller than\nrequired passing through the jaw and causing unnecessary additional wear, but\nalso creates a separate product.  This\nby-pass conveyor is not only on option on the sale of the machine, but also an\noption when operating the machine.  If\nthis separation is not required, this can be simply closed up and all the\nmaterial passes through the jaw, blending together as it pours from the 800mm\nwide main discharge conveyor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlie Doyle, Owner of C. Doyle\nand Sons. said; \u201cThe J960 has a smaller footprint than the jaw crusher we ran\nbefore, but it is certainly delivering more production throughput.  Its compact size and savage throughput were\nthe main reasons for choosing to buy this machine, as it means we can go to\ntight sites and get the job done efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
